Rising Stars has chosen the HighScope Infant-Toddler Curriculum. According to the NAEYC (National Association for the Education of Young Children), a child has five core components of development: socio-emotional, language, cognitive, physical, and aesthetic. Through the HighScope Infant-Toddler curriculum, your child will enjoy a well-rounded balance of learning experiences and many opportunities to develop important skills that are needed to be successful in school.

Each HighScope Infant-Toddler Curriculum program contains age-appropriate experiences that promote creativity, family involvement, social interaction, language development, and more while leveraging your child's natural curiosity. Based on current early learning research, HighScope Infant Toddler Curriculum actively engages children and supports differences in learning styles, maturity, and interests. Each month's topic is a springboard for exploration and discovery. The curriculum planning process empowers your child to contribute to the topics of exploration. Actively engaging your child in what he or she wishes to explore makes learning fun, and develops the skills and knowledge for school success.

Research based and child focused, the HighScope Infant-Toddler Curriculum uses a carefully designed process of learning through discovery, called active participatory learning. During active learning, caregivers encourage infants and toddlers to discover the world around them by exploring and playing. Learning and development are anchored by long-term, trusting relationships with caregivers, who are close at hand to support children as they play.
