Our Programs

Infants (2 Months - 14 months)

While infants share developmental milestones, each infant is unique. Our room is designed to meet the needs of each individual child's development. Much of the day is spent following your infant's growing desires and curiosity as well as their emergent needs and interests. We provide a variety of developmentally stimulating and challenging activities to stimulate your baby's interests and encourage their growth. As part of their development they are exploring the world around them through their senses; sight, smell, touch and of course taste. We incorporate activities, songs, and books that will promote their physical, intellectual, emotional and social development.

Infants need safe spaces to grow and learn, at home and away from home. When your infant is in our care, we are committed to providing a nurturing and caring environment that meets your needs and the needs of your child.  As your infant grows and changes - which happens on a daily basis at this stage - we make changes, too, so development and learning unfolds naturally. We are delighted to share these moments with you as your child discovers the world around them.

Toddlers (15 Months to 2.5 years old)

Our toddlers are offered a variety of opportunities to explore their world through play. Gross motor skills and social skills are developed through both structured and unstructured play. At this age, children are meeting new challenges as fast as they come. Crawling, walking and eventually running are levels they accomplish in what seems like a blink of an eye. Children learn best if they are in a stimulating environment. Music, stories, outdoor play, and learning simplicity envelop much of the day. It takes special, high energy, loving caregivers to keep up with toddlers. At Rising Stars our energetic, caring teachers encourage and gently guide each toddler through exploration and discovery. Our caregivers are dedicated to helping each child develop these skills through a trusting and loving relationship. A parental daily report is given to update each family on meal times, nap times, toilet training and all activities accomplished each day.

Preschool (3 years to 5 years)

Preschoolers are ready to conquer the world. Classrooms are overflowing with challenging toys and equipment that offer a stimulating, colorful environment. This is the setting for fun and learning where Rising Stars children can be independent and exercise a variety of personal, social and emotional skills.

We also encourage problem solving, cognitive as well as symbolic thinking, math concepts and logistics. Blocks and other mathematical manipulative promote planning, problem solving, concepts of physics and creative thinking.

Art projects promote creativity and self-expression while music instructs our preschoolers in learning musical concepts through songs, games, hymns, rhythm, instruments and group ensembles. Dance and movement promote physical fitness and coordination.
